You're Not Alone

"Trauma isn't always a single event. It can be the accumulation of feeling unsupported, the lingering echo of a difficult relationship, or the weight of carrying too much for too long."

Whether your experience feels big or small, your nervous system is telling a story that deserves to be heard.

My Approach

Grounded Foundation

My practice is grounded in the understanding that unresolved developmental and attachment trauma can significantly shape how individuals experience relational stress in adulthood.

Comprehensive Care

I support individuals and couples navigating relational distress, conflict, life transitions, anxiety, depression, and the impacts of childhood trauma.

Holistic Process

I recognise that present-day challenges are often influenced by earlier relational experiences, coping patterns, and ongoing life stressors. I collaborate with clients to explore these patterns, building practical skills for communication, emotional regulation, and healthier relationship dynamics.

Safe Environment

My approach is trauma-informed, integrative, strengths-based, and carefully paced to prioritise emotional safety. I create a space that is safe, respectful, and free from judgement, where clients can explore their experiences with openness and support.

Samantha Apley, Counsellor

I'm a registered counsellor with eleven years of experience supporting individuals and couples through relationship difficulties, life transitions, anxiety, depression, family violence, and the impacts of trauma.

Over the course of my career, I have worked with individuals, couples, and families experiencing a wide range of challenges, including relationship conflict, communication difficulties, grief and loss, separation, co-parenting, family violence, elder abuse and the lasting effects of childhood trauma.

Experienced in trauma, I have a deep understanding of how trauma influences our sense of self, our relationships, and our capacity to engage fully in life. My aim is to help people develop greater self-awareness, strengthen their connections with others, and build resilience that supports meaningful and lasting change.

My practice is trauma-informed, integrative, and carefully paced to prioritise emotional safety.

Orenda Origins

Orenda is a concept from the Iroquois culture, a Native American people of North America. It describes a spiritual life force present in all people, living beings, and nature. This energy is seen as a source of personal power that helps shape intentions and create change, highlighting each person's inherent capacity for strength and transformation.
